Building Critical Fiber Infrastructure for Emerging Data Center Corridors

PMC FIBER SYSTEMS DEVELOPS, FINANCES, AND OPERATES CARRIER-GRADE LONG-HAUL FIBER NETWORKS PURPOSE-BUILT FOR HYPERSCALE COMPUETE, AI WORKLOADS, AND CLOUD BACKBONE ACCESS.

We partner with anchor tenants and institutional capital to connect next-generation data center campuses to major interconnection hubs — from ground-up development through long-term operation.

VISION

Infrastructure That Enables Compute

The next wave of AI and hyperscale compute is moving beyond established markets. New data center campuses are being developed in locations selected for power access, land availability, and cost — but these sites frequently lack the fiber connectivity they need to operate.

PMC Fiber bridges that gap.

We identify underserved corridors where anchor demand is emerging, and we build the fiber backbone before the market is crowded — creating durable, mission-critical infrastructure with long-term contracted revenue.

Our networks are designed from day one for:

  • Hyperscale data center connectivity

  • AI and high-performance compute transport

  • Cloud and enterprise backbone access

  • Carrier interconnection and colocation access

OUR PLATFORM

A Scalable Connectivity Platform

Each PMC Fiber network is engineered as a carrier-grade backbone — not a patch solution. We build to institutional standards with long-term operational life, enabling our networks to serve as the primary fiber spine for an entire regional corridor.

Network Architecture:

  • Dual-path, geographically diverse routing

  • High fiber count backbone (864F+)

  • DWDM-ready infrastructure supporting 400G / 800G wavelengths

  • Carrier-neutral interconnection model

Outcomes for Tenants and Partners:

  • Redundant, resilient connectivity with no single point of failure

  • Low-latency transport between compute clusters and backbone POPs

  • Seamless access to cloud on-ramps and carrier interconnection

  • Scalable capacity to grow with tenant demand

HOW WE DEVELOP

From Corridor Identification to
Long-Term Operation

PMC Fiber takes projects from initial feasibility through construction and into long-term ownership and operation. Our development process is designed to reduce execution risk and produce institutional-quality infrastructure assets.

01  /  Corridor Identification & Anchor Demand

We identify routes where confirmed or near-confirmed anchor demand from hyperscale, AI, or carrier tenants justifies new build. Development begins with a contracted revenue foundation, not speculative assumptions.

02  /  Feasibility & Route Engineering

Our team conducts detailed route surveys, right-of-way assessments, and technical feasibility studies. Fiber specifications, regeneration site locations, and conduit configurations are locked early to support accurate cost modeling.

03  /  Permitting & Right-of-Way

PMC manages all permitting and right-of-way processes, including state DOT applications, environmental reviews, and easement negotiations. We build strong agency relationships to move efficiently through regulatory timelines.

04  /  Construction & Quality Assurance

Construction is managed to carrier-grade standards with rigorous QA/QC protocols. We work with experienced contractors across aerial, underground, and conduit-based build methodologies.

05  /  Operations & Asset Management

Upon completion, networks are operated as long-term infrastructure assets. PMC provides ongoing asset management, network monitoring, and tenant support — ensuring reliable performance across the operational life of each network.

MARKETS

Where We Build

PMC Fiber focuses on emerging data center corridors — markets where compute infrastructure is scaling rapidly but fiber connectivity remains constrained. We prioritize locations where anchor tenant demand is confirmed and where purpose-built infrastructure can command long-term contracted revenue.

Target market characteristics:

  • Adjacent to large-scale power generation or dedicated power campus developments

  • Located within or near established data center growth markets in the Sun Belt and Southwest

  • Underserved by existing long-haul fiber, creating structural supply gaps

  • Within reach of major interconnection hubs, cloud on-ramps, and carrier POPs

What we do not do:

PMC does not build speculative, unanchored fiber in mature markets. Every project is underwritten against confirmed demand before capital is deployed.
